I was wondering, does anybody care to analyze the tune "Misty"?
I currently play this tune (solo) and I'd like to see sometime a discussion
on a tune that I actually know. I Play it with the NRB changes:
(Pickup) Bb13| EbMaj7| Bbmi7 Eb13(b9) | AbMaj7 |
Abmi9 Db13 | Gmi7 Cmi7 | Fmi7 Bb7 |
G7 C7 | F9 Bb13| Ebmaj7| Bbmi9 Eb13(b9) |
AbMaj7 | Abmi9 Db13 | Gmi7 Cmi7 |
Fmi7 Bb7 | Eb6 Bb9Sus | Eb6 ||
Bbmi7 (BbmiMaj7) | Bbmiz Eb7(b9) | Abmaj7 (Bbmi7 Eb7) |
Ab6 | Ami7(add11) | D7 F7 |
Bb7 Edim | Fmi7 Bb13|| EbMaj7 | Bbmi9 Eb13(b9) |
AbMaj7 | Abmi9 Db13 | Gmi7 Cmi7 |
Fmi7 Bb7 | Eb6 | { Fmi7 Bb13} |
One thing I've noticed in this tune, is the Triton subs on bar 5 (Counting
from the EbMaj7) of a Dm7 G7. Any more points to notice in this wonderfull
tune?
Another request, Does anybody have a set of changes for the old tune
"Brother, Can You Spare Me A Dime?" I saw a Dixieland band playing it, and
thought it would be a nice piece for Piano Solo.
TIA,
Bye,
