Nope, I'm not over reacting at all. As a musician I feel a =

The current Burger King television commercial is a hideous affront to =
=3D
all jazz lovers. All music lovers should boycott Burger King until that =
=3D
horrible abomination is taken off the air.

I refer to the 30 second spot where some total idiot who thinks she s a =
=3D
jazz singer attempts to scat sing her way through the "special orders =
=3D
don t upset us - have it your way" jingle. She is horrendously out of =
=3D
tune, has a terrible voice better left unheard, and has absolutely no =
=3D
clue as to the art of jazz improvisation, much less, scat singing. I =3D
especially cringe when she relapses into the lower register and goes =3D
into kind of a folk-singer s nanny-goat substitute for vibrato.

I suspect the ad agency responsible for this aural excrement has a =3D
distinct disdain for music. I m reminded also of the inane "classical =
=3D
music is boring" featuring a cellist a few months ago. The person =3D
responsible for the ad is a total musical illiterate or really hates the =

art by putting such crap on the air.

Please circulate this to as many music lovers as possible.
