Not a minus sign, just a hypphen :-)
It is odd how these chords have been set to the melody. The melody goes
G-G#-A (in a triplet), and the bass line uses the same notes, just lagging
(in quarters) so the A chord comes in the next measure. I play it that way,
and it sounds fine.
Sher cites about 5 or 6 sources for this version of the tune, so I don't
know where you can hear that particular sequence.
