I don't know whether Thad Jones wrote his beautiful tune "A Child Is
Born" for the particular child whose birth is being celebrated this week,
but I thought I might play it (solo piano) at my Christmas gig (carols
with the next-door neighbours, but you've got to start somewhere)
The New Real Book, Volume II has the following changes. Any ideas for
substitutions or voicings would be appreciated, though it's lovely as is.

| BbM7 | Ebm6/Bb | Am7b5 | D7(#9) |
| Gm7 | D7(b9) | Gm | D7(b9) |
| Gm7 | C7 | EbM7/F | F7 |
| BbM7 | Ebm6/Bb | BbM7 | Ebm6/Bb |
| BbM7 | D7(#5#9)| EbM9 | Ab9 Cm7b5/Gb |
| BbM7/F | Ebm6/Gb | Gm7 | C7 |

I was also thinking that a nice secular tune for this time of year is
Horace Silver's "Peace".
