Thank you for the changes to Laura (didn't have the chance to comment
yesterday). They helped me understand what was going on on the tune, and
being a more stripped harmonization they give more room to add extensions e
alterations (also made me understand Tim's changes better, though some parts
still make me unconfortable).
Your changes keep the flow of the song going, providing a drift feeling that
I believe the song is about. I like the major 2nd descents which appear all
over the song, or the use of G#o7 in making a bass chromatic ascent from G7
to Am7.
The use of 7sus in ii-V7sus4(9) passages does a colourful effect and fits
nicely with the uncertainty of the song. (Tim's changes use it as well with
the same good results)
Surely this tune is full of possibilities to reharmonization, and I like to
get my hands on as many versions as I can, so if anyone else would like to
share ...
Pedro
(P.S. I'm not sure what you mean by Am#7 in the 1st bar. I believe its an Am
with a maj7, making a passage from A dorian to A melodic minor, but where
does it fit?)
