I don't understand the waltz idea. The best way that I have seen is to
simply stretch the changes out over more measures. Start by stretching each
chord over more bars (dependent on the number of beats each chord gets: two
beats = 1 bar, four beats = 2 bars) and gradually condensing it. From what I
have heard, this is how Aebersold breaks it down.
