Pat Metheny technique

A little while ago, there was a discussion concerning Pat Martino's
technique. Does anybody have any thoughts about some of Pat Metheny's
techniques? Personally, I find him to be an outstanding guitarist,
regardless of what anybody might say about his work with the Pat Metheny
Group.
