Well, now, this is true. However, if Pedro can analyze the reason this sub
works, perhaps he can use the same principle to find other cool and hip subs
he can use. Reed later says that this is a dominant 7 with the 5th in the
bass. This leads one to think, well, what about some other inversions? and so
on. *that* seems to be the point of this analysis to me, and it can lead to
creative possibilities one can use while playing.
But I'm a bass player, what do I know?
