Hi everyone. I've been lurking here for a few days to get the flavor of
the list.

I've been playing piano and keyboards for 15 years, but only dabbled in
jazz. I always got frustrated because I couldn't find any resources
that weren't way over my head.

I've done some transcription in the past: A couple of tunes from "Oscar
Peterson plays the Cole Porter songbook" and Bill Evans' "Someday My
Prince Will Come."

Can someone recommend a jazz pianist for beginning transcription?
Someone who sticks to the melody, doesn't play too fast or too far
outside.

I'm getting to upgrade my CD-ROM drive just so I can get Phil Wood's
"Jazz Tutor" program. Are there any other on-line jazz instruction
programs that are good?

Thanks! Anyone who wants to hear some of my original works can check
the site below.
