I called them and the discount is 30% which makes the price
for discussion list members $490.

That's a pretty good discount because it's 30% off the advertised
price in guitar player magazine, not some inflated retail price.

I've had the original slo mo for about 5 years and never had any
problems.

I bought the new one last summer. It has lots of new features.
I've had one minor problem which may just be something I'm doing.
I havent talked to them about it but they are really nice and I'm
sure would take care of it right away.

Before agreeing to their extra memory option, check your local
prices of memory. It just uses normal computer chip memory and
can be installed very easily I'm told.

I'm trying to negotiate a price for the other slo mo like device
but so far we havent agreed on one. It's been discussed before.
Its the "Riffmaster" (not the Akai "RiffaMatic").
