Yes actually I do take offense. Very much so!

I didn't realize that this was a moderated list that was subject to
censorship by the list owner when someone has a view that critisizes the
owner's position on an issue. But you are right in trying to arrange for
this lame thread to die.

If we must have a volatile thread here's one that interests me:

Where I come from (Toronto, Canada) some of my non-traditional jazz playing
friends came up with the term "The Jazz Police" to describe that segment of
the jazz intelligentsia that has taken it upon themselves to inform the
public and young music students what is jazz, what isn't, and why some jazz
is high art and some isn't. There seems to be a large force of Jazz
Policemen on this list and since I consider myself a jazz musician who
specializes in that horrible "Fusion" stuff I'm interested in reading the
opinions of many of you on this topic........

Fusion: Does it suck?..... Why?
