Latin improv.

I consider myself to be a straight-ahead trombone player. I feel really
comfortable with swing/bop etc. improvising. But when it comes to
improvising over Sambas, Bossa Novas, etc. I seem to have trouble. It
isn't the changes, but it seems that I don't have any rhythmic ideas that
fit the style. How do I go about making more intelligent rhythmic ideas
come out in these styles?
