There's a shareware digital audio editor that's pretty nice, too, called
"CoolEdit" that can be downloaded from most big shareware sites. The free
version lets you use all the effects, but only a few at a time. Registration
fee is pretty reasonable.
Try it, you might like it.
It's not SAW or ProTools but then I don't need the pro power right now.
