Pretty much the same things Reed has been advocating, although I had
figured this out a couple of years before I found this discussion list.
Transcriptions, tunes, written solos, arrangements to tunes,
improvising, reading music. In the past two weeks I've transcribed two
tunes for a gig and four solos. Doing this I think helps more than just
about anything else.
