When you mentioned "block chord licks" in your recent reply to the Martino
thread I thought I should add some things on chord soloing which I have found
while transcribing some of Wes's chord solos. I worked out the entire chord
solo to Round Midnight from his Trio album (the one with Satin Doll on it
too), and found a couple of patterns to his thinking which led me to believe
he had some systems to his solos.
