I use Presto! as mentioned, and it's great. I was using it just before I
read this message, as a matter of fact, transcribing the changes to
"Israel" from Bill Evan's recording. The author of this deserves a lot
of credit for writing this; before I was having to use another utilty
that was very clumsy, and lost the loop points if you stopped the
playback, or porting the whole thing into CoolEdit, which is also a
hassle.

As far as notation goes, I do mine with Encore. I get good results using
this, there is midi playback and adjustable swing quantizing. It plays
dynamic markings, articulation marks (to an extent), repeats, codas,
etc. If you can afford it it's worth the money; I paid @ $400 1.5 years
ago, and I've upgraded to the latest version.
