Well, the rootless voicings will only work if practiced on the
top 4 strings, or the middle four strings.

I think the fingerrings and hand positions for them are pretty easy to
figure out but perhaps I see your point in this situation.

Does Finale do tab? I should know. I've had it for a million years
but I've never thought of using it for tab.

When I teach I prefer to use fingerboard diagrams for these situations
rather than tab.

Considering the backlog I have of things I want to post, I'm probably
not going to do these extra steps for guitar voicings right now.

It's not like it's a million different voicings to figure out.

There are two basic forms on two sets of strings. That's 4 guitar
voicings. THe others are all just variations of that. THe ones on
the top 4 strings are used much more than those on the inner four
strings so you can just focus on the two voicings on the top
four strings.

I know it's corny, but you'll learn it much better if you work
things out for yourself.

Still, have you read those voicing posts, manuscripts yet? I explain what to
do on the top of one of the sheets.

Just do it and if you have questions I'll be happy to answer them.
