G7+9 is G7 with with an A# (Bb). Jazz players in general don't play an
unaltered 5th in DOminaant 7th chords, especially in the bottom part of the
chord.
Maybe in a higher register. So you can leave out the D.
BTW, I don't think those changes were posted to the list.
It must have been in private email.
Perhaps Sparky can do that.
