Okay you have some good ideas here. Lets try for four bars today.
I really like bars two and three. Bars one and two have intellecutally
correct bass lines that just don't work for me. However you are right
that you need to ii/V into the Eb/F (The same as F7sus) but you do
it too early. I can't accept the sound of Gm7 for the first bar of
bluesette.
Here's how I would fix things and I would consider playing this myself.
(For those that don't know, the tune is in 3/4)
Bbmaj7 Am7b5 D7b9 | Gm7 C7sus4 C9+ | F7sus4 | F13b9 |
Bbmaj7 ....
Why don't you take it from here.
