I'm glad you are enjoying this.
Hang in there.
I have alot more topics I want to discuss than just chord substitutions.
As soon as I get some technical problems solved with uploading my
manuscripts you're going to see some really interesting things.
As they say, you havent seen nothing yet.
I can't discuss those topics by just using ascii e-mail.
I'm waiting for some software I orderred from adobe that will convert
my postcript music manuscripts to pdf so people can see them in their
browser.
I also need to start the clearing process so I can upload some of
my important transcriptions. I have to get clearance from the
Bill Evans estate, the Chet Baker estate, etc. I'm planning to
present some important analysis of complete solos.
Also planned is a new thread on analysis of classical music for
jazz development. I may just use this same list or I may clone off
a separate list for that.
