I hestitate to contribute to the Blusette discussion because I am a
beginner and it is a tough tune. But I couldn't help but wonder about
the form. It looks to me like the main chorus of Blusette is the changes
of "bebop" blues, kind of like Blues for Alice, except that it is 3/4
and gives 2 bars where the bebop blues pattern gives one. Otherwise,
thinking of a long-measure bebop blues form seems to help me get a sense
of the form of the tune both for soloing and in some cases for
substitutions.

Since I am an amateur (albeit a serious one) I would appreciate knowing
if I just recited what everybody knows and therefore doesn't need to say
or hear, or whether in fact I have missed something.

Thanks for the seriousness of the musical discussion here. I have lurked
a while and respect the knowledge and taste I've seen here.
